They are more prone to gain weight due to the excess levels of sugar in the blood and it can be easily controlled through a healthy diet. Consumption of high carb diet results in high levels of insulin and glucose. Glucose is one of the primary energies where fats are needed and therefore are stored. Typically when you consume a high-carb diet, the body uses that glucose in the form of energy. When you lower those levels of carb in the diet the body produces a mechanism called Ketosis. It is the natural process of the body where the body initiates in surviving even in low food intake.During this process, the liver breaks down fat and produces ketones.

The human body adapts itself according to what you consume and when you overload it without carbohydrates, resulting in the burning of Ketones. Managing the consumption of carbohydrates in people with type2 diabetes, as carbohydrates have the capability to turn into sugar which results in increased levels of blood sugar.
